BLOG: 5 Keys To Your Destiny

While perusing through social media one day, my eyes locked in on a successful athlete’s fan page.  The Lord showed me how this accomplished athlete was saturated in her profession from the day she was born.  It came naturally to her because her parents, grandparents and entire family were involved one way or another with this particular sport.  There were five words that came to my mind while reading about her successes and accomplishments:  Revelation, Saturation, Dedication, Consecration, and Determination.  The Lord began to minister to me about these words and how they relate to believers and their destiny in Christ.

Revelation:  The foundation of any believer’s life starts with revelation.  The revelation that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he died for our sins is our foundation.  Without that, simply put – we are lost.  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Saturation (a total immersion) in the reality of who He is and who you are in Him will help you become who you were created to be. The athlete mentioned above was born into a family of athletes and was saturated in the sport because it was before her eyes every day.  It was talked about and demonstrated consistently.  This family of pro-athletes set an example, paved a way for her to follow, and then encouraged her to discover her own path.  Like a sponge absorbs water, she became a reservoir for that particular gift which made it easier for her to discover her place and destiny.

Likewise, consistent and proven demonstration has also been made available for every believer.  The path that Jesus has paved for us makes a victorious life available for us!  The saturation of God’s Word in your life will pave the way for you and help you discover your place of grace.  This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.  (Joshua 1:8)

BLOG: Our Father of Faith

The 11th chapter of Hebrews is sometimes referred to as the “Hall of Faith”. This wonderful chapter provides us with a long list of individuals who were considered giants in the faith. I believe that these individuals were included in this ‘Hall of Faith’ because of their adventures and victories through faith. But, the real Father of the Faith is Jesus. He is our example of the God kind of faith.

One of the most impressive and impactful examples of Jesus’ faith is found in the eighth chapter of John’s gospel. While Jesus was teaching, the scribes and Pharisees brought a woman to him who had been caught in sin. The law (Moses’ law) at that time was clear that the penalty for this woman’s sin was to be stoned to death.
